The IPIP Emotional Intelligence Scale is a public-domain measure of 7 facets of how you notice, respond to, and express emotion — Attention to Emotions, Empathy, Responsive Distress, Responsive Joy, Emotion-Based Decision-Making, Negative Expressivity, and Positive Expressivity. Rather than testing emotional "ability" with right-or-wrong answers, it's a self-report profile of your emotional style: how much you notice your own feelings, how contagious other people's distress or joy is for you, whether you lean on logic or feeling when deciding things, and how openly you show negative and positive emotion. Taking it gives you a practical picture of your emotional habits, distinct from a personality trait profile.
