These terms apply specifically to psychologists and researchers using PsiQ in a professional capacity — that is, using the platform to assess, advise, or study other people, rather than only taking assessments for yourself.
1. Professional standing is your representation, not our verification of competence
By creating a psychologist, clinician, or researcher account, you represent and warrant that you hold all valid licenses, registrations, qualifications, or institutional authorizations required by your jurisdiction and governing statutory bodies for the services you provide on PsiQ. Specifically for practitioners operating in or servicing individuals within the Republic of India:
- Clinical Psychologists: You represent that you possess a valid Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR) registration number issued by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) pursuant to the Rehabilitation Council of India Act, 1992, as amended, and are legally authorized to administer psychodiagnostic evaluations and clinical psychotherapy.
- Allied Psychology Professionals & Counselors: You represent that you comply with recognized qualification and registration frameworks under the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021 and relevant state bodies.
Where a verification badge or "verified" status appears on your profile, it reflects solely that we checked the documentary credentials or license numbers submitted against stated credentials — it does not constitute clinical supervision, endorsement, or a statutory warranty by PsiQ regarding your clinical competence, diagnostic judgment, or ethical conduct, which remain solely your personal and professional liability.
2. You remain responsible for your own professional and ethical obligations
PsiQ provides software tools — assessment scheduling, psychometric scoring, automated summaries, case notes, and session documentation — but does not engage in the practice of medicine, psychiatry, or clinical psychology. Client assessment interpretation, clinical formulation, crisis triage, mandatory reporting, informed consent, and selecting psychometrically sound tests for a given population are your non-delegable clinical duties under your governing statutory council rules, including the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (MHCA 2017) and relevant Telemedicine / Tele-Mental Health practice guidelines.
3. Confidentiality, Data Fiduciary Duties, and Client Records
Client records, session notes, and demographic forms generated in your professional relationship belong to the clinical record managed under your care. In accordance with Section 23 of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (MHCA 2017) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA 2023):
- You acknowledge a statutory duty of strict confidentiality regarding all client mental healthcare details, diagnostic findings, and session notes, except under narrow statutory disclosures mandated by law or court order.
- PsiQ acts strictly as a data processor / technical intermediary storing and displaying records back to you and designated institutional personnel authorized under your tenant boundary. We will never sell, lease, or disclose client assessment records to unauthorized third parties, employers, or insurance providers.
- You are strictly responsible for obtaining verifiable, informed client consent (and verified parental/guardian consent under Section 9 of DPDPA 2023 for any minors under 18 years of age) prior to administering assessments or logging psychological records on the platform.
4. Researcher-specific: participant consent and ethics obligations
PsiQ's anonymized-export feature and consent-adjacent tooling support, but do not replace, your own institution's ethics/IRB approval process. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate participant consent before inviting anyone into a study, independent of whatever PsiQ's interface allows you to technically do.
5. Billing responsibility
Independent psychologists and researchers are responsible for their own subscription and credit top-up payments. Where you operate under an institute's subscription instead, your usage draws from that institute's plan and credit allowance, and any seat/limit questions are between you and that institute's administrator.
6. Termination of professional access
If your professional license or institutional authorization lapses or is revoked, you are responsible for ceasing professional use of PsiQ accordingly. PsiQ may suspend a professional account where we have a good-faith basis to believe the underlying credential is no longer valid.
