1. No assessment on PsiQ is a medical diagnosis or legal certification

Nothing produced by PsiQ — including raw scores, normative percentiles, stanines, cognitive indices (such as FSIQ, GAI, CPI), or generated PDF reports — constitutes a medical, psychiatric, or psychological diagnosis, and none of it should be treated as one. A diagnosis under the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (MHCA) can only be made by a qualified mental health professional through their own direct, independent clinical judgment, informed by comprehensive clinical interviews, collateral history, and multidimensional diagnostic evaluation.

Furthermore, assessments on this platform do not constitute a statutory disability certificate under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, nor are they admissible as standalone medico-legal certificates in judicial, matrimonial, custody, employment, or academic accommodation proceedings unless independently validated, administered, and countersigned in an offline clinical capacity by a registered professional authorized under Indian law.

Every assessment displays an explicit evidence-status label before you begin, which communicates the scope and validation backing that specific instrument:

• Standardized — calibrated against a recognized developmental or normative reference population.
• Validated — supported by published peer-reviewed psychometric construct validity and internal consistency/reliability evidence.
• Research Instrument — designed and calibrated for empirical or academic study; not intended as an autonomous clinical measure.
• Educational / Experimental — intended strictly for pedagogical demonstration, personal self-reflection, or pilot research, with no claim to clinical diagnostic precision.

3. Norm-based scores reflect the entered normative sample, not a universal standard

Where a percentile, standardized score, or stanine appears on your report, it was computed against the specific population mean and standard deviation calibrated for that instrument. Different instruments use different developmental and demographic cohorts. Where no normative dataset exists for a custom or pilot instrument, that field is left blank on your report — never populated with an uncalibrated or fabricated estimation.

4. Interpretive text is threshold-based, never fabricated

Where an assessment displays an interpretive categorization alongside a score (e.g., "High," "Moderate," "Low," or cognitive performance tier), that classification derives strictly from deterministic threshold rules calibrated against psychometric score boundaries — never an automated synthetic clinical impression or unvalidated algorithmic extrapolation.

Psychologists, psychiatrists, and clinical practitioners utilizing PsiQ with clients are independently bound by the provisions of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (MHCA), the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) Act, 1992, and the National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021. Under Indian law, clinical psychological testing and diagnostic interpretations must be conducted by professionals holding valid registration on the Central Rehabilitation Register (CRR) or State Allied Healthcare Council.
