Institute Terms

These terms apply to institutes — schools, universities, or organizations — that create and administer student or staff accounts on PsiQ.

1. You are responsible for the accounts you create

When you add a student or staff member's account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, for obtaining any consent required before creating that account (including parental/guardian consent for minors, where applicable under law), and for managing that account's lifecycle — deactivating it when the person leaves your institute, for example.

2. Tenant isolation is a guarantee, and a shared responsibility

Every query for your institute's data takes your institute ID as a required parameter at the database layer — another institute's administrator cannot query your data, and you cannot query theirs. This is architecturally enforced, not just a policy promise. In return, you're responsible for your own account security (a compromised institute-admin login is the one realistic way this protection could be bypassed) and for not sharing your administrator credentials.

3. Seats, licenses, and bulk import

Your subscription plan sets a maximum number of students and psychologists your institute can have active at once. Bulk CSV import processes each row independently — a malformed row is skipped and reported, not allowed to abort the rest of the batch — but you remain responsible for reviewing the per-row results and correcting any that failed.

4. Student and staff data you're responsible for

Enrollment numbers, grade/year, and any other institute-provided student detail you upload is your data to manage. You can export or remove it consistent with your own institution's data retention obligations; PsiQ retains anonymized result and audit records after an individual account is deleted for the same reasons described in our Data Deletion page.

5. Psychologists added under your institute

A psychologist you add works under your institute's tenant and can only see the students you've explicitly authorized them to see — the same authorization boundary used everywhere else on the platform. Removing a psychologist's institute affiliation removes their access to your students' data going forward.

6. Billing responsibility

Your institute's subscription, bundled credit allowance, and any pay-as-you-go credit top-ups are billed to your institute account. See Pricing and our Refund & Cancellation Policy for the specific subscription terms.
