Professional Terms

This is a structured draft. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. These terms are in addition to, not a replacement for, our general Terms of Service.

These terms apply specifically to psychologists and researchers using PsiQ in a professional capacity — that is, using the platform to assess, advise, or study other people, rather than only taking assessments for yourself.

1. Professional standing is your representation, not our verification of competence

By creating a psychologist or researcher account, you represent that you hold any license, qualification, or institutional authorization your jurisdiction and profession require for the work you do on PsiQ. Where a verification badge or "verified" status appears on your profile, it reflects that we checked the credential information you submitted against what you claimed — it does not mean PsiQ is vouching for your clinical competence, judgment, or professional conduct, which remain entirely your own responsibility.

2. You remain responsible for your own professional/ethical obligations

PsiQ provides tools — assessment assignment, results, case notes, session records — but does not practice psychology or supervise your professional judgment. Client confidentiality, informed consent, mandatory reporting obligations, and the appropriateness of a given assessment for a given client are your professional responsibilities under your own licensing body's rules, not something PsiQ evaluates or guarantees on your behalf.

3. Data you enter about clients or participants

Case notes, session records, and demographic-form responses you create belong to you as the professional relationship's record-keeper; PsiQ stores and displays them back to you and to anyone else your existing authorization relationship (institute affiliation, study collaboration) already permits — never to a third party outside that relationship. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for obtaining any consent your own profession's standards require before recording it.

4. Researcher-specific: participant consent and ethics obligations

PsiQ's anonymized-export feature and consent-adjacent tooling support, but do not replace, your own institution's ethics/IRB approval process. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate participant consent before inviting anyone into a study, independent of whatever PsiQ's interface allows you to technically do.

5. Billing responsibility

Independent psychologists and researchers are responsible for their own subscription and credit top-up payments. Where you operate under an institute's subscription instead, your usage draws from that institute's plan and credit allowance, and any seat/limit questions are between you and that institute's administrator.

6. Termination of professional access

If your professional license or institutional authorization lapses or is revoked, you are responsible for ceasing professional use of PsiQ accordingly. PsiQ may suspend a professional account where we have a good-faith basis to believe the underlying credential is no longer valid.
