What these tests measure
The Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT) measures exhaustion, mental distance, and cognitive and emotional impairment at work. It is available here in a full version, a short form, an ultra-short form and a student version. The Copenhagen Burnout Inventory looks at personal, work-related and client-related burnout.
Burnout is an occupational phenomenon rather than a medical diagnosis, but it can seriously affect health and performance.
Who it is for
Employees, managers, doctors, teachers, students and caregivers who feel drained by their work or studies.
How to use your result
Your score is a snapshot of how you have been feeling or behaving recently. It is meant for self-reflection, education and research and is not a diagnosis or medical advice. Where a scale has no published norm entered on PsiQ, we do not invent one, so you will see raw scores rather than made-up percentiles.
If you are struggling: please talk to a doctor or a qualified mental-health professional. In India you can call Tele-MANAS at 14416, a free government mental-health helpline. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services.
